15/01/2015 Lesson Notes

Covered in lesson:

When reading the essay question,

1) Find the genre of the essay question. Is it argumentative? discursive?
2) Focus on the key words, which will keep the writer on track, and not confuse readers
3) Paraphrase the question into a statement. (easier to understand)

This is a reminder for you to prepare your question analysis and brainstorming for ideas on any one of the 3 questions given to you last December. The questions are:
1. 'Sorry is the most difficult thing to say.' To what extent do you agree?
2. Should girls and boys be given exactly the same type of education?
3. Describe a traditional celebration you have attended. How important is it for us to preserve our traditions?
